Pick up a rock to be assured anything a weapon in the hand of a man.
The act of Self Defense is an immediate response to an unplanned event or emergency within moments of it's appearance.
In the event that an emergency comes at us is the moment we have planned to be ready for, but never know when (if ever) it will occur. Having an umbrella ready to deploy in the event of rain.
Planning for an unfortunate & undesirable emergency is wise to understand it's likely outcome if not prepared.
Defense is practiced in, and only in, direct response to the call for its need.
The word "Defense" is so overly used in the explanation for this simple God Given Right, its concept has been inflated into a monumental representation in the minds of the lesser cognizant of it's simplicity.
In reality, the immediate use of your Hands or your Guns to stop the threat to your life, is so simple, How & Why & How is it a theme still for extensive conversation much less debate? The only person who could possibly have a problem with a (Wo)Man ready to Defend their life / the life of their loved ones is concerned to restrict your sovereignty.
The word Defense has been twisted to become a word insinuating the desire to be so.
The concept of self-defense has been ingrained in human society since the beginning of time. From cavemen using rocks and sticks to modern day weapons, the act of defending oneself against a threat is seen as a natural instinct. However, in today's world where violence and crime are prevalent, the idea of defense has taken on a different meaning. It has become an illusion – something that our enemies contort in the attempt to make the masses believe it will not protect them, so why even try. In reality this is as simple as breathing and maintaining that breath.
One of the main reasons for this illusion is the societal conditioning that has led us to believe that we are not capable of defending ourselves. We have been taught to rely on others – be it law enforcement or government agencies – for our safety and protection. The media also plays a role in perpetuating this belief by constantly bombarding us with stories of violence and crime, making us feel vulnerable and powerless.
But the truth is, defense is a God-given right and instinct that every human being possesses. It is not something that can be taken away or restricted by anyone else. The idea of relying on someone else for our defense goes against the very essence of being human – the ability to protect oneself and one's loved ones.
The illusion of defense also stems from a lack of understanding about what it truly means to defend oneself. Many people associate self-defense with violence and aggression, when in fact it is simply about protecting oneself from harm. Self-defense does not mean seeking out conflict or using excessive force.
